Notice to the community of GrandErie Home Hardware Building Centre:

GrandErie Ltd. Management was notified yesterday (May 19, 2020) that an employee at our Store (1051 Broad Street East in Dunnville ) has tested positive for COVID-19. This person last worked in-store on Saturday, May 9, 2020. They are currently resting at home and we keep them in our thoughts and prayers for a full and speedy recovery. Any employees with close contact with this person have been self-isolated, and we will support any additional employees who need to self-isolate.

We consider the health and well-being of our employees and community our top priority. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have strived to exceed public health guidelines and – with help from the Haldimand Norfolk Health Unit (HNHU) – we developed and actioned plans to mitigate risk for our staff and the public at large.

GrandErie leadership team has reacted quickly and effectively. Our store has been thoroughly disinfected. We have, are and will continue to do everything we can to keep our staff and community safe.

GrandErie Ltd. has been proactive to put in place an extensive approach of splitting of staffing teams, exercising physical distancing, and an increased cleaning and sanitization protocol. Should we receive additional direction or guidance from HNHU, we will act immediately and accordingly.

We would like to sincerely thank all of our staff for their dedication and for stepping up during this difficult time. They have done an amazing job to provide essential service to our community.
